i'm writing this in very, very small letters....
because i know if anyone reads my blog, they will think i am crazy.
perfect daughter has done it again. she had me fooled. i had the map to lexington. i had the side trips we would take on the way all planned out. i had the history of the beautiful institution of washington and lee school of law memorized. i knew about the honor code. i was really trying to be a good sport about her going to a great school, albeit not my alma mater....
and then, my alma mater surprised us all.
they called and said they wanted her. they really wanted her. and because they wanted her....she is....
GOING TO UT LAW!!!!!
for real, for certain sure! we are proud of her. and frankly, i'm a little tiny bit proud of UT. they made a great decision, but then again, they are a great school:

Founded in 1883, The University of Texas School of Law is one of the oldest law schools in the nation. With an enrollment of fourteen hundred Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree candidates, the University of Texas School of Law is also one of the nation's largest law schools. In addition, the Law School offers a Master of Laws (LLM) program for graduates of foreign law schools, and another for American lawyers on doing business in Latin-America. In fact, more than 250 undergraduate institutions and 45 states plus Washington D.C. are represented in the student body. Aggressive recruiting efforts coupled with the dramatic increase in the number of highly competitive applicants have resulted in a diverse and academically distinguished student body.
